By accessing or using YourPDFPal (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Use of Service

Our tools are provided for lawful purposes only. You agree to use the Service only for purposes that are legal, proper, and in accordance with these Terms and any applicable laws and regulations.

3. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload, process, or distribute any content that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Upload or process files containing malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise automate access to the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable load
• Use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose

4. File Retention and Privacy

Files processed in your browser are never uploaded to our servers. For server-side operations (such as PDF compression), files are retained only as long as necessary to complete the operation and are automatically deleted within 1 hour. We do not keep backups of your files. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details on how we handle data.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of YourPDFPal and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You retain all rights to the files you upload and process using our tools.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall YourPDFPal, its owners, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service. You agree that your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless YourPDFPal and its owners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service owner resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
